Noticeboard

Welcome to Dr Melissa Williams

Glemsford Surgery are delighted to announce that Dr Melissa Williams is joining the Practice on 20th May 2019.  Dr Williams trained at St George's Medical School in London and worked in the North of England for a number of years.  She moved back to Suffolk a few years ago and we warmly welcome her to Glemsford!  Dr Williams will hold clinics on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Important Notice for our Patients

We are currently experiencing a high number of patients who are failing to attend for their appointment - particularly with our Nursing Staff.  Please can we remind all patients that if they cannot attend a pre-booked appointment for any reason that we appreciate a phone call to let us know.  This means we are able to re-allocate that appointment for another patient and therefore keeps our waiting times as short as possible for the benefit of all of our patients.  Thank you.

From September 2018, the Surgery would like to use SMS text messaging to help communicate with our patients regarding their appointments.  A consent form is available here - SMS Text Messaging Consent Form please complete and hand it to Reception.

Currently 46% of patients do not have a mobile number on their records... Do you have a mobile and would you like to be contacted by text?  Please inform Reception.  Thank you.

Carers

Carers

Do you care for someone who is ill, frail, disabled or mentally ill?

We are interested in identifying carers, especially those people who may be caring without help or support.  We know that carers are often “hidden” looking after a family member or helping a friend or neighbour with day to day tasks and may not see themselves as a carer.

If you are a carer, please ask at Reception for a

Carers referral form for General Practice

Further information for carers is also available from

www.suffolkfamilycarers.org or telephone the Information Line on

Family Carers Net

The FamilyCarersNet.co.uk website supports family carers throughout the UK. It includes blogs and podcasts, general information plus the newly created 'The Pod‟ (a new Live Chat & Messaging for the new website).
