We are currently experiencing a high number of patients who are failing to attend for their appointment - particularly with our Nursing Staff. Please can we remind all patients that if they cannot attend a pre-booked appointment for any reason that we appreciate a phone call to let us know. This means we are able to re-allocate that appointment for another patient and therefore keeps our waiting times as short as possible for the benefit of all of our patients. Thank you.
From September 2018, the Surgery would like to use SMS text messaging to help communicate with our patients regarding their appointments. A consent form is available here - SMS Text Messaging Consent Form please complete and hand it to Reception.
Currently 46% of patients do not have a mobile number on their records... Do you have a mobile and would you like to be contacted by text? Please inform Reception. Thank you.

As well as meeting and greeting patients in person and on the telephone, they deal with many administrative roles. Please remember our receptionists are not clinically trained. Clinical questions will need to be referred to a doctor, nurse practitioner or nurse accordingly.
Our Pharmacists play a key role in providing quality healthcare. They are experts in medicines and will use their clinical expertise together with their practical knowledge to advise you on common problems. If you are taking several medicines our Pharmacist offers a detailed consultation called a Medicines Use Review (MUR). You can discuss the medication, when you should be taking it and any side affects you might be concerned about. MUR’s are done in a private consultation room and are free.
