Noticeboard

It is with regret that after many happy years, we have said goodbye to Dr Piccaver.  Dr Piccaver has moved on to pastures new and we wish him all the best.

We are aware that there are issues with the telephone lines and patients having long waits to get through to Reception.  We are working to get the telephone system updated, but these things take time.                              Please bear with us.

COVID-19 VACCINATION

Due to the huge task of vaccinating so many people nationwide, the vaccine is going to be delivered in various ways, by mass vaccination hubs, smaller hubs and some GP Surgeries. We are working with 27 other practices and the Suffolk GP Federation to deliver the vaccination programme via a mass vaccination hub.

When you are invited you will receive a text from NHS-Noreply or a letter with a unique booking code and web link.

All Patients will be invited for their vaccine when they are eligible.  Please be patient, you will be contacted when you are eligible.

Information is available on the government website

We understand your anxiety but would like to assure you that as soon as is possible, you will be contacted and invited for your vaccination.

Suffolk and North East Essex System have launched a Covid-19 Vaccine website which gives a range of information about the vaccination roll out, links to local networks and organisations and a detailed set of FAQs.  There is also information about the vaccination centres and sites across Suffolk and North East Essex with local case studies and sites, including maps highlighting their location.  SNEE NHS COVID-19 Vaccination Service (sneevaccine.org.uk)

  • a new continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)

PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THE SURGERY IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE SYMPTOMS ABOVE, STAY AT HOME AND ARRANGE TO HAVE A TEST ON WWW.GOV.UK.

For most people, COVID-19 will be a mild illness. However, if you have any of the symptoms above, stay at home and isolate for 10 days.  You should arrange to have a test - visit www.gov.uk.

Carers

Carers

Do you care for someone who is ill, frail, disabled or mentally ill?

We are interested in identifying carers, especially those people who may be caring without help or support.  We know that carers are often “hidden” looking after a family member or helping a friend or neighbour with day to day tasks and may not see themselves as a carer.

If you are a carer, please ask at Reception for a

Carers referral form for General Practice

Further information for carers is also available from

Family Carers Net

The FamilyCarersNet.co.uk website supports family carers throughout the UK. It includes blogs and podcasts, general information plus the newly created 'The Pod‟ (a new Live Chat & Messaging for the new website).
