We are pleased to announce that we have recently had a new telephone system installed which will make it easier for patients to access the Surgery with a range of options to chose from.  Please listen carefully to the options as they have changed.

Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing some technical difficulties which we hope will be resolved as soon as possible. Please be patient, the reception team are doing all they can to minimise the inconvenience this has caused to patients.

You may have seen in the media that there is currently a distribution issue with supplies of the Flu Vaccines, meaning deliveries to Surgeries and Pharmacies will be delayed.

As soon as we have confirmation of a delivery date from our supplier, we shall commence booking of our Flu Clinics.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but hope that patients will appreciate that this situation is beyond our control.

COVID Vaccine Update

Under the new guidance issued by the JCVI, all 16 and 17 year olds are now being offered a one jab dose of the COVID Vaccine.  Glemsford Surgery is not offering this service so please visit the SNEE vaccination website which is updated on a daily basis showing all of the local sites that are offering the Pfizer vaccine: https//

Patients and visitors to GP practices across Suffolk and north east Essex are being reminded they must continue to wear face coverings and observe social distancing rules from 19 July when lockdown rules ease.

Health and care leaders say while restrictions are being eased in some public places, strict infection control measures need to be followed in healthcare settings. This will reduce the risk of vulnerable people from becoming infected and help prevent Covid outbreaks that could result in the temporary closure of a surgery.

Anyone who refuses to wear a face covering and is not medically exempt will be asked to do so by the GP practice.

Covid Vaccine Status

The Government has announced that from 17th May 2021, people will be able to demonstrate their COVID-19 vaccine status for travelling purposes by accessing the NHS app, or by calling 119.

Do not contact the GP Surgery about your COVID-19 vaccination status.  GPs cannot provide letters showing your COVID-19 status.
