Prescriptions:
Please note there will be delays in processing prescriptions due to bank holiday closures. Please order your medication with enough time to allow for this. ALL medication requests need to be in writing, either via email: glemsford.dispensary@nhs.net , by using the repeat order slip on your prescription form & handing it into reception, or by completing the prescription order form from reception.
If you need medical attention while the surgery is closed, please call 111. If your symptoms are serious or life threatening please call 999.
We would like to take this time to wish all our patients a Merry Christmas, and a healthy, happy new year!
When We Are Closed
When the surgery is closed the telephone number for all patients seeking medical advice and attention is – 111
Medical care is provided by Suffolk GP Federation as contracted with NHS Suffolk. You may be asked to attend a medical centre elsewhere to receive medical attention. Please remember that this arrangement applies only to calls out-of-hours, so it would only be in these circumstances that you would see a doctor from a different practice. All non-urgent and routine medical care will be performed in the usual way with one of the doctors in the surgery, during surgery hours.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
